Being at the Manhattan Beach Pier before dawn reminds me of playing in beach volleyball tournaments. Wow, that was more than 10 years ago, now. I hope I can play there regularly again someday.

On our recent trip to Los Angeles, I messed up my time zone change and ended up at the Manhattan Beach Pier before sunrise. Ugh! Well, here’s one for the file of “making lemonade from life’s lemons”…

I went out to catch the sunrise near the Golden Gate Bridge. There wasn’t a shot with the bridge in it. But, it was a cool moody morning. The sun peaked through for a moment just breaking into the darkness.
