Each night there is a show that happens on the Northwest town of Oia on the island of Santorini, Greece. The show is the sunset. Everyone gathers to enjoy a beautiful sunset and they are almost always rewarded. Here, Santorini’s iconic windmill sits above one such sunset.

Many hotels in Santorini, Greece have these doorway arches on that outdoor path to the rooms. The door to the room opens to outside. This would mean “cheap hotel” in some places. But, the scenery is so nice here, you want your room door to open straight up to it.

We didn’t take a cruise ship but we saw many sailing by Santorini, Greece. Each night many boats would carry people over to the west side of the island to catch the beautiful sunset.

Our latest trip was to Santorini, Greece. We left at night and it took us three flights to get there. So when we arrived, the sun was just coming up. We hadn’t slept in 24 hours and we were zombies. But, I was so excited and the scenery was so beautiful that I had to start shooting immediately.
It was an amazingly calm morning. A fog hovered over the island. It was completely silent. And the water looked like someone had laid a colored sheet of paper on it.
